Cleaning happens at your home

We clean rugs in place — the same hot-water extraction we use on carpet, adapted to the rug's fibre and backing. That means no waiting a week for pickup and delivery, and you can bundle the rug with carpet or furniture in one visit. It also means we do not offer immersion washing, pickup, or rug repair.

Which rugs we assess first

  • Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon) are the most forgiving and clean up beautifully on site.
  • Wool and cotton get a dye-stability test and controlled moisture so colours stay put and fibre does not shrink or brown.
  • Backing matters. Jute and latex backings need gentle moisture and good airflow; we check before we start.
  • When a specialist is the better fit: very fine silk, antique or hand-knotted rugs, and rugs saturated with pet urine right through the backing are usually better served by an off-site rug plant with full immersion washing. If that is your rug, we will tell you rather than take the job.

Stains, odors and drying

  • General soil, food and traffic greying respond very well. Old set-in stains and dye bleed may lighten rather than disappear.
  • Pet odor is treated at the source with enzymatic products; deep saturation is assessed on site.
  • Drying is usually 6–10 hours. We lift edges and encourage airflow; a fan helps.

FAQ

Good questions.

Does cleaning happen at my home?

Yes — always. We clean rugs in place on your floor. We do not offer pickup, off-site washing or repair.

Which fibres, dyes or backings need extra assessment?

Wool, cotton, viscose and anything hand-dyed get a dye-stability test first. Jute and latex backings get controlled moisture. We check all of this before starting.

When is off-site specialist care a better fit?

Fine silk, antique or hand-knotted rugs, and rugs saturated with pet urine through the backing. These usually need immersion washing we do not offer, and we will tell you honestly.

How are the floors beneath the rug protected?

We place protection under the rug, control the amount of moisture used, and lift the edges for airflow while it dries.

Can stains or odors be treated?

Yes. Everyday soil and traffic greying respond very well; set-in stains may lighten rather than vanish. Pet odor is treated at the source.

What affects drying?

Fibre, thickness, backing and airflow. Expect 6–10 hours; a fan or open window speeds it up.

How does the $119 minimum apply?

A small rug alone is under the minimum, so most customers pair it with a couch, a room of carpet or a second rug in the same visit.
